 INTRODUCTION AND JUSTIFICTION: This is advance oral surgery course. The course is designed to allow students to be familiar with maxillofacial problems such as facial injuries, TMJ dysfunction, oral cancer, and developmental disorder of oro-facial region.


Forensic Dentistry can be defined as branch of dentistry which deals with the proper handling and examination of dental evidence and with proper evaluation and presentation of dental findings in the interest of dentist. A lot of people are found to be missing, dead, murdered or killed in accidents and mass disaster. The identification of these bodies is important from asocial and legal points of view. Dentist  may be consulted for assistance in postmortem dental identification, disaster victim identification, age estimation, and bite mark evidence.
